  • Do I need to be getting married to use this service? No, I provide counselling to anyone that needs support. I have experience working with teenagers all the way through to late adulthood. I enjoy working with people of all ages and from all walks of life.

  • How long will therapy take? This depends on the individual. I have experience working from a short term and long term framework.

  • Will you help plan my wedding? No I am not a wedding planner. I am a counsellor. I will help to work with you to manage your wedding stress and or engagement anxiety. I can also help with the setting of short and long term goals and communication skills. 

  • Where have you worked before? I have worked in many hospitals in Sydney and still do. I also have experience working as an EAP counsellor. 

  • Do you offer face-to-face counselling at a practice? Yes, in Surry Hills, Sydney. Bookings are essential. 

  • Do you work with the LGBTQ community? Yes of course, I am a great supporter of the LGBTQ community and thrilled that they are able to legally marry in Australia. 

  • Where did you study your degree? I studied a Bachelor of Counselling at the Australian College of Applied Psychology in Sydney. 

  • Are you medicare rebateable?
    No, counsellors are not currently eligible for the medicare rebate. In order to be competitive this service is, in most cases, cheaper in cost than a psychologist after medicare rebate. PACFA is lobbying the government for counsellors to have access to medicare.

  • Can I get rebate though my private health insurance? You may be eligible for rebate through your private health insurer for counselling. Please call or email to enquire if this applies to you. 

  • Are your prices flexible?
    I believe counselling should be available to all. If you are a student, I will be happy to negotiate on price.

  • How long is a counselling session? A counselling session is one hour long.

  • Are you registered with PACFA?
    Yes, my PACFA number is 25756.

  • Do you abide by a code of ethics? Yes, I work under the PACFA code of ethics. The link is below for further information. 

  • Do I need to make an appointment? Yes appointments are essential, please call 0460 947 256 or email bridaltherapyau@gmail.com to make an appointment.
